Procedure
The certification body provides to the solicitors an actual detailed description of
the evaluation and certification procedures, corresponding to each certification
scheme. It also furnishes the documents that comprise the certification requirements,
the rights and obligations of the solicitors and suppliers that have certified
products (including the corresponding taxes) The certification body asks for the
completing of an official application form, signed in original by an official
representative of the solicitor. The form and its appendices comprise: the field of
application for the certification and an declaration in which the solicitor agrees to
accomplish the requirements for the certification and to furnish all information
needed for the evaluation of the products that will be certified:
- the type of the organisation he represent, name, address and legal status
- the definition of the products to be certified, the certification system and the
standards according to which each product will be certified if are known by the
solicitor.
Technical Approval
One or a combination of the procedures will be applied, for each category of products:
internal control, typical inspection, conformity with the type, conformity with
composition, insurance of the quality of production process, insurance of the quality
of the product, verification of the product and insurance of the quality. The
certification body releases to each supplier of a product official certificates that
allow the identification of the following elements:
- the name and address of the certified product supplier
- the domain of relevance of certification
- the list of the certificated products and the identification criteria
- the standard of the product or other legal norms in respect with the certification
of each product or product type
- the applicable certification system
- the effective date of the certification and the validity period
